First Football Camp in Muehlenbach

The town of Muehlenbach in the Black Forest region, famous for its picturesque views, hiking trails, and quaint villages, has just launched its very first football camp, attracting 175 young players aged between 5 and 12.

According to Christine Storr, a local news correspondent, the football camp aims to promote teamwork, physical activity, and fair play among children, who spend hours training under the watchful eyes of coaches from the local football club, SV Muehlenbach.

It was our intention to introduce football as an entertaining activity to these children and as you can see from their excitement and concentration on the pitch, I can safely say we’ve made an incredible first impression, commented Peter Schnur, coach and event organiser for SV Muehlenbach.

Children aged 5-6 participate in what the camp organisers have termed as a “discovery day,” consisting of drills that emphasize teamwork, problem-solving skills, and decision-making in addition to soccer basics such as passing and receiving the ball. On the other hand, those between 7 and 12 learn fundamental movement skills including dribbling and throwing in goal. Sessions will continue up to mid-July when certificates of participation are presented at the end-of-term awards ceremony.

Hoping this serves as the kick-start they require on their future athletic endeavors!
