Vandalism in Gengenbach: 46-year-old man damages parked car
A senseless act of vandalism occurred in Gengenbach on Tuesday evening, leaving a parked VW Golf severely damaged. The car, which was parked on a business parking lot in the Berghauptener Straße, was targeted by a 46-year-old man who allegedly kicked in the car’s side mirror, causing approximately 3000 euros in damages.

According to eyewitnesses, the suspect was seen fleeing the scene shortly before 22:30. A witness was able to apprehend the suspect until the arrival of the police. During the police investigation, the 46-year-old man exhibited erratic behavior, prompting his transfer to a psychiatric facility. An investigation into the incident has been launched, and the suspect is facing charges of property damage.
